LONDON PART 1 (ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS)

Host Kathy McCabe introduces her new series Dream of Europe as she arrives at iconic Abbey Road Studios in London with composer Alessandro Roveri and a group of London musicians to record the new theme song for the series in the same studio where The Beatles recorded almost all of their 200 songs! Many don’t realize Abbey Road Studios is still alive and well, welcoming recording artists from around the world, seven days a week. Kathy then visits Theatre Drury Lane, owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber, for some ghostly history of the theater and classic afternoon tea.

What was it like recording at and filming in Abbey Road Studios, in particular Studio 2? Just as inspiring and awe-inspiring as you would imagine. It was one of those days I will remember for the rest of my life. Our recording session went off nearly flawlessly with the crew, our composer Alessandro, the group of London musicians and the engineering team of Abbey Road coming together (most having met for the very first time) to create musical magic! – Kathy
